Delicious, Delicate - Delicado!

In late October 1951 (26. or 31.) Oscar Alemán y su Conjunto de Jazz featuring Alberto A. Barbera (p),Oscar Alemán (dir, g vo),Alberto Ramos(g) and Arminio Raguza (dm)recorded Waldir Azevedo's baion "Delicado" for Odeon, released on a 78 rpm (mx 18250, Odeon 55318A). This recording belongs to one of Alemán's best recordings from the Odeon catalogue. His solo work on this particular recording is unique, inspired and has never been better, at least in my humble opinion. Well, you may judge for yourself, of course. Finally the audio of this magnificent recording has been uploaded at YouTube, so I find it approbiate to celebrate Oscar's 102th anniversary by inserting this video below - Enjoy the genius at work!
