Les Loups label scans complete
Thanks to Han Enderman (The Netherlands) the online Oscar Alemán Discography ( http://oscar-aleman.opweb.nl ) has developed into an essential database with numerous label scans. His search for label scans ( not only Oscar Aleman's !) on the internet during the past years, makes that the online Oscar Alemán Discography became a unique and indispensable record scan collection. Thanks for that Han. Today he sent me two 1928 Victor label scans (Victor 80950 ) from records recorded by the Argentine guitar duo Les Loups.(Online Oscar Alemán discography - Hans Koert)
The Les Loups duo featured Oscar Alemán ( left) and Gaston Bueno Lobo ( right). They formed Los Lobos or Les Loups as a duo that performed in Argentina in the late 1920s, labeled as Extraordinados guitarristas hawaianos or Dúo de guitarras Hawaianas - a music style very popular during the late 1920s and early 1930s. They recorded for the Argentine Victor company. In 1930 they moved to Europe with the Harry Fleming revue. When Oscar Alemán joined Josephine Baker the duo was broken. Gaston Bueno Lobo returned to Brasil, his native country. Thanks to Sam Brylawski from the Victor discography project (http://victor.library.ucsb.edu) compiled by the University of California, Santa Barbara, we could share some worth full information regarding missing matrices and recording dates. Two winning teams ………. Thanks Sam for sharing this and success with your research.
Thanks Han, Sam and Jo for sharing the Oscar Aleman record labels with us.
